The Fleeting Icelandic Sunset

One of my favorite photographs from my trip– with Winter coming to an end, this is one of the last few sunsets Iceland will see before 24-hours of daylight overpowers the darkness until the next Winter season. This sunset was quite beautiful as the sun dipped over the horizon behind the truly Icelandic landscape.

My name is Nathan Bush and I am a loving husband, an avid world traveler, an adventurer, and an off-road and Jeep enthusiast. I began my serious journey into photography in the mountains of Patagonia Argentina where I fell in love with the wilderness world. My passion has taken me to Iceland, Alaska, Peru, Argentina, Belgium, the Netherlands, and countless National Parks.  A good friend once told me I should combine my knack for beautiful landscape photography with capturing the details of their wedding, so I decided to dive right into the challenge. It has been quite a ride from there, and thus today, my passion for photography has evolved to capturing the raw candid emotion and intimate moments involved in wedding photography.

  1. Nice moment. When landscape is seen quite blue, I call it “Blue moment”.

In this of my post I have three photos from same kind of situation:

    Happy travelling and blogging.

    1. Hi Sartenada,
Thanks for your compliment. “Blue moment” would discribe that instant perfectly. I’m at work right now and my very slow company’s computer will not load your large photo sizes. I’ll check out your links when I return home. Thanks for checking out my blog!

  2. Your trip seemed fascinating, Nate. You write and add photos superbly. Thanks for taking your “virtual friends” along with you!

    1. Thanks, Jan. Your compliments are very much appreciated! I can’t believe I’m already back from the trip– next time will have to be longer for sure.

    1. This was basically the only sunset I saw. It was quite cloudy and stormy while I was there. The geysers were great and I got some good photographs of them, but unfortunately I was at Gullfoss in near-blizzard conditions. due tot his, Gullfoss was barely visible, although I did get an interesting photograph and tons of snow blowing around over the falls (or what is visible of the falls) at least.

Iceland is great though! I enjoyed it greatly!
      Thanks for reading,
      – Nate
